Cancer

My dad was diagnosed with Cancer quite a few months back, he is doing amazing and is remission (has been for a while) which means the cancer is gone, but there still doing treatment so it doesn't come back.  He is in Utah right now in his second to last cycle. He has Lymphoma and is at stage 4.

I wish everybody who has a sickness in there family good wishes and I hope they (or you) feel better soon.

Prayers...

Anyone who looks at the news a lot would know what happened today. In Connecticut at a school there was a shooting action. Some students were killed, they need our prayers the parents of some children were very lucky to find there child was saved from some of the teachers. I thank those teachers with my heart for protecting those innocent little children, they are miracles and lifesavers to some peoples life. Thank you for blessings!

Gypsy

I have unconditional love for this creature, my love is as deep as the ocean, higher than eagles sore.  She doesn't trust me completely, but she will. I haven't seen her in a while but my thoughts carry me to her fence, across the street. If I look out the living room window, sometimes I can see her if she stands in the right spot. She is the only horse I've been with long enough to create a bond with, when I ride her, its not like any of the other horses I've rode, because I know her with my heart and always will.

I love you Gypsy!

STOP!!!!!

STOP ANIMAL ABUSE! STOP CHILD ABUSE! STOP ANIMAL SLAUGHTER!!

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

If you had a choice to make a change of anything in the world, what would some of those be?

For me, I would make it so there was no NO child abuse, NO animal abuse and NO animal slaughter.

Whats the use for having animals if all your going to do is take away there life? Same thing with the other 2 above.  They were sent here for a reason, many reasons. Horses, children, and other animals weren't sent here to be killed or abused, they don't deserve it, no one does. If you just think about it hard enough I think you will be able to understand. I hope you will help me send the word out for this, there truly is more to life than hurting someone. Please recognize what I'm trying to say, all these people and animals are blessings sent from heaven. Little pieces of heaven are here on earth to help us, bless us and show us examples of who we should be.

Paints

I read that most or all paints have some mustang in them, I found that very interesting, I love mustangs, there one of my top favorite horses!

Day 10

Riding Gypsy

I got to ride my neighbor, Gary's, horse! I've know her for about a year and and She is not completely broke but Gary said he's rode all of them, Dandy, Ben, and Gypsy, before. Gypsy is a quarter horse paint mix. she is black and white, short, and can be a little stubborn sometimes, but I still love her. We are riding her in a small arena and lunging her before we ride, we ride for very long, because she gets tired and is not use to this but she will get use to it eventually.
Thats all I have to say for now, bye!

Horse Riding!!

I rode horses on Tuesday, and it was unbelievable, beyond imagine! I rode Sharnea with a western saddle and trotted around the big arena, she likes to go fast, so do I! I rode her around for a half hour and then I watched my sister ride, then I got to ride Sugar, bear back! It was an experience I will never forget. Sharon said we were naturals, and she doesn't say that to everybody, its either you have to or you don't. We have looked and asked for places to ride all year long, then we found out Sharon had horses, so we made a date to do it and did it!
Sharon is an excellent dog trainer, she does an amazing job with animals. She does a 4-H group with dogs and has a dog show, she helped me turn my dog Allie's behavior around, she was an everything chaser, and loved to be free, ran around the neighborhood like crazy, she is now the best dog we've ever had!
Thank you Sharon!

Fun Fact

When you are on a horse and he gets spooked, and takes of running, the right thing to do would be to stay calm and ride him in circles til he calms down.

Honest Horses

This is the book my Grandma and I have been reading it is a book with intelligent things inside of it. You'll a lot of little things about the wild horses, but it will all come out as one big thing. She did a of work before she wrote this book, like I said, she interviewed lots of people about them and what they thought of them.
I respect all manor of horses and the way they live from the time I was little up to now and forever.

Fun Fact

The hock, or gambrel, is the joint between the tarsal bones and tibia of a digitigradeor unguligrade quadrupedal mammal, such as a horse, cat, or dog. This joint may include articulations between tarsal bones and the fibula in some species (such as cats), while in others the fibula has been greatly reduced and is only found as avestigial remnant fused to the distal portion of the tibia (as in horses). It is the anatomical homologue of the ankle of the human foot. While homologous joints occur in other tetrapods, the term is generally restricted to mammals, particularly long-legged domesticated species.

Fun Fact

Mustang, is like a horse with all different breeds in him, he is not a pure breed

Day 5

Flicka's Of The World

The wild horses in the world today wern't only sent here to help us work, one reason they are here, to me, is to help represent our freedom, and also, they are part of our heritage, to some people, they are creatures who must have there chance at living, they are just like us, trying to get along in life, when I think of the word west, it makes me think of the wild horses running on the plains of America, this is a free country, and not just for the people, but the other extraordinary animals that live on the lands of the U.S. I want to make a difference in there lives and do what we can for them. They have families, and so do we, you must understand that they cannot stand up for them selves and say, " Hey, leave us alone". They are forced by the hands of humans and by the words of a man, they need your help, I can't do this alone, I need help, so please get up and do what you can for these useful, magnificent horses, your not alone, and neither am I .

Fun Fact

Today's fun fact is short but interesting, to me, in a wild herd of horses, the mares of the group choose where the herd goes.

Another fact, about the BLM, is, when they do the yearly round-ups, they do not round-up the leaders of the herd.

Day Four

Archery

This kind of off topic today but once I get enough money I am going to by my own bow and arrow set, I really want to learn to be a master at shooting. I think this subject goes perfectly with horses because of the movie Brave. I have been waiting for an adventure since I was like, five yaers old, I geuss. I am determined to find this adventure, it will take courage, trust and wisdom to take on the adventure I long for. To be honest I will have to work on the courage
part, but it'll be worth it!

Fun Fact

The reason the BlM rounds up so many horses is because there is too many horses for the land to sustain. The wild horses don't have any natural predator to keep the population from over populating.

Day three

Honest Horses

My Grandma and I are reading a book called Honest Horses written by Paula Morin and I find it
quite interesting. She puts little facts in there that I don't know, she interviews a lot of people, wild horse advocates, ranchers, and a lot more. We are preparing for when we visit Madeleine Pickens Sanctuary, I hope to become a volenteer there and come closer to the horses.

Have a good day!!

Fundraiser For Horses

The Dyer sisters on the go making plans to help Madeleine Pickens with her Wild Horse eco santuary ( Mustang Monument). We are selling cookies to people for 4.50 a dozen and hope we earn plenty of money to give her to save the horses, part of our heritage. Just thought I'd share that with you guys today and hope you have a good weekend!

Fun Fact

1. Horses sleep standing up so that if they spooked, they can take get away quicker from the pretador or whatever it was that scared them. And horses can't lay down for a real long time anyways because it causes them to not breath as well.
In a wild herd, the mares get to decide where to go.

Fun Fact

Wild horses are ferel, which means they were are naturally wild, but then people found them and tamed them, then they were turned wild again.
Mustang = comes from the spanish word mesteno and means stray.

I will be doing a Fun Fact every day if I can, if not, then I will do it when I can. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these interesting little facts.
Thank you

The Neigh of the Horse

I speak up for the neigh of the horse, we need to treat these creatures the way we want to be treated. These horses are not being treated fairly and are on the path toward extinction. Imagine not having horses in the world, they wouldn't be there to pull a cart or round up the cattle. You must understand that these creatures are harmless, and helpful in many more ways than you can think of. They are not the ones to blame, I myself would take all the blame and hatred casted upon them and take it every last word anyone says and take it all on my circumstances to save there species.

Wild Horses

On our way home from Idaho we saw some Wild Horses! This is the first wild herd I've seen in my entire life! I love horses and wish I could have more experience with them. I am writing a story about a horse named Old Smokey and a girl named Summer, along with her sister, Skye.
I will write it on here once I finish it and have time.

P.S. Call me Skye =)
